The destruction of Partington's Mill in 1950 removed a famous landmark from the Karangahape Road ridgeline.

Removal of the mill became a catalyst for the creation of the Historic Places Trust in 1955, with heritage buildings later becoming protected through new legislation.

This exhibition displays our LOVE for our past using the arts of poetry, prose writing and visuals.
