Cornwall Park was home to the 39th General United States Army Hospital, National Women’s Hospital and Cornwall Geriatric Hospital from 1943. It was the birthplace of a generation, home of the Yankee Invasion, a place of respite and one of love, loss and healing for Tāmaki Makaurau.
In this new exhibition, you will uncover the former hospital grounds, learn about pioneering medicine, and meet the people who worked here over the years.
You will also be encouraged to share your memories.
