Want to learn how people in the 19th century used their homes to show off their status, wealth, and style?
Architectural designer and historian Edward Bennett shares photos and information about the different materials and design choices that people made to reveal (or hide) certain things about themselves.
He will focus on a specific type of house called an inner-city villa which was quite popular during the Liberal period (1890-1914), particularly in Ponsonby.
