Play reading: FALLOUT – the Sinking of the Rainbow Warrior.
Two blasts disturb the winter night and a ship, dedicated to peace, sinks in Auckland Harbour.
New Zealanders remember the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior, and the effect this act of international terrorism had on their lives.
The play particularly addresses the festival themes of peace and protest. The Rainbow Warrior was preparing to protest French nuclear testing in the Pacific.
