Supported by Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, The Royal Forest and Bird Society of New Zealand (Auckland Branch), the ‘Save Our Milk Bottles’ campaign was active in Auckland in the late 1980s.
It challenged the introduction of plastic milk bottles as being wasteful and ultimately polluting the environment, and also the deregulation of milk distribution which ended home delivery.
A display featuring photographs and ephemera from Friends of the Earth records held by Auckland Libraries.
