Martin Law: Painter of Paradise presents a collection of paint, pencil and three dimensional works with accompanying situational narratives describing themes that influence the works: love and loss, peace and conflict, protest and acceptance.
The starting point for this collection is the pencil and loving progression to paper, from found to lost, history and future, land and sea to sky. Martin describes the unique relationship of the artist with perception, history, and the beauty that may be found in what is around us if we wish to look. Urban landscapes, dwellings, weathered materials, line and form, colour and shadow.
Viewers are invited to consider these works alongside pencilled words and language bringing context to the themes of peace, protest and love.
