Event details

This 2009 documentary tells the story of some of the crew of the legendary Greenpeace ship, the ‘Rainbow Warrior'.

The French secret service bombed the ship in Auckland Harbour in response to Greenpeace’s campaign against nuclear tests on Moruroa Atoll.

Past crew members recall the beginnings of the ship and how their current life choices have been shaped by its bombing. The film includes footage of the consequences of the French nuclear tests, protest actions against whaling, and life aboard what was once the ship of peace.
