Event details

A walk and talk over Maungauika/North Head's historic Victorian coastal defences installed during the Russian war scares in the 1880s.

Tour the gun positions and the tunnels.

Hear the stories and secrets that have swirled around for many years, from hidden flying boats in secret sealed tunnels and the belief that an old dump with potentially dangerous ammunition remains undiscovered.
