The idea for the first public library in Albany came from a meeting held on 19 July 1919, Peace Celebration Day.
The community was looking for a way to honour local men lost during the Great War. The little library was officially opened in December 1922.
Join librarian tour guides Lana and Kathy on a family friendly walk learn more about the history of the building and its site, and recent research to find photographs of the men listed on the memorial stone.
