Event details

An exclusive opportunity to go into the rooms of historic Alberton house rather than only viewing the interiors from the restricted placement of the security ropes.

For only the second time small groups (ten people) will be permitted to enter into a room and experience the unique setting and collection by the original owners, the Kerr Taylor family.

The original farm house, fittings and surrounding two acres of land was bequeathed by the last of the family's ten children and opened to the public in December 1973. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the house opening to the public.

The 18 rooms inside the Indian inspired architecture of the house provide an insight into an early Auckland pioneering family. Suitable for 10 years +

Presented by: Alberton, Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga
