Join heritage stirrers Robyn Mason and Peter McCurdy at the Waterview Heritage Area to unearth its extraordinary history, starting with the first colonial settlers on the rich tidal waters of Te Auaunga/Oakley Creek.

Waterview has never been short of people defending the suburb, from opposing the depositing of Auckland’s ‘night-soil’ there or feeding the families of striking watersiders – an offence in 1951.
