Explore east Auckland’s unique heritage with three self-guided walks using Howick Local Board’s heritage walk app.

The Main Street stroll details the area’s colonial history, with noted local historian Alan La Roche recounting anecdotes and stories behind landmarks, as the walk winds past significant sites. Suitable for people of all ages.

The app is available on both apple and android devices and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play by searching Howick’s Heritage.

Two other walks available on the app - Tāmaki River Walk and Bucklands Beach Loop.
