Event details

This guided walk for families encourages children the use a trail map to discover secrets of this sacred space, from its trees to why it was important to Māori.

This walk encourages children to consider the life of women and children in the 19th century and why there are so many young children buried here.

Guide Lynda Lucas will also talk about the many communities represented in the burial grounds, including Catholic, Anglican, Jewish, Presbyterian, Wesleyan and Māori.
