Event details

Tour the Catholic Chapel dedicated to St Peter at Hato Petera College which held a strong Catholic and Māori character.

The school and chapel are located on land acquired by Bishop Pompallier, the first Bishop of Auckland, through a Crown Grant in 1850 for education purposes.

There will be a tour of the chapel, a brief talk by some members of the congregation, an opportunity for Q&A, and light refreshments.

This event is organised by the Auckland Inter-Faith Council to promote understanding of the diverse faiths of our city.
