Join Dr Mike Wilcox on a walk to explore the unique history and values of some of Auckland’s finest trees in their historic setting in Auckland Domain.

The tour will start at the Band Rotunda, and take in all or some of the following:

  • Trees of the lawns from the Rotunda northwards.
  • Lovers Lane bush, with early plantings of native trees dating from 1865, and also an array of unusual exotic trees.
  • Domain Walk to the railway line to see the impressive Araucaria trees.
  • Pukekawa (museum lawns) and Eucalyptus Hill.
  • Pukekaroro with an historic totara tree.
  • Old plantings near the Duck Ponds.
