Kai Whau is a programme funded by the Whau Local Board to support the development of community-led local food initiatives that connect and strengthen communities across the area.
Kai in the Whau: Then and Now is a short film that has been produced under the Kai Whau programme.
The film shares stories of Whau's history as a food basket of the Auckland region and also the community-led initiatives driving a shift back towards local production and distribution of food in the area.
