From 1856-1858, Scottish and Cornish settlers arrived in New Zealand to farm the Pukekohe Block.
In 1862, the settlers formed the Pukekohe Highway Board, which met in Pukekohe East Church. Together the settlers began to improve the local roads.
Join the Pukekohe East Church Preservation Society at two open days and learn more about the transport history of the area.
