Classic clinkers play the starring role in this year's classic yacht exhibition. This style of boatbuilding is the oldest known boat construction method, most notably used by the Vikings.
Come along to see traditional boat builders at work, with the construction of a half-built clinker using specialty tools and time-honoured methods.
The exhibition will feature a clinker hall of fameĀ of over 30 boats, including Falcon, the oldest clinker in New Zealand. Clinker boat owners and other classic yacht enthusiasts will also be on hand to share their stories and memories of this unique New Zealand boat.
A static display in Karanga Plaza will include information and history on the vessels and their builders.
