Visit St Stephen's Chapel on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. Celebrate 100 years since its construction.

St Stephen’s is the oldest public building on the peninsula. It has been used continuously for worship and in 2012 was thoroughly renovated and given five additional stained glass windows.

A Centennial stained glass window has been newly installed. Earlier stained glass windows commemorate:

  • the Shakespear family, who owned the farm which later became Shakespear Park

  • those lost in the Erebus Disaster.
