Event details

Dinghies, designs and designers will be a part of the three-day showcase recognising the many successful New Zealand sailing dinghy classes.

This display celebrates the New Zealand designers, technology and construction and our world-famous sailors who started their careers in these yachts.

The sailing dinghy in all its forms will be celebrated at this interactive exhibition. Included are the iconic P Class dinghy designed by Harry Highet in 1923; the Starling, Zephyr and Mistral (Des Townson); Javelin, Cherub and Flying Ant (John Spencer); Wakatere, Frostbite, Sunburst (Jack Brooke) through to high-performance racing craft.

Come and celebrate the New Zealand Sailing Dinghy with the Tino Rawa Trust, and share your stories about our world famous maritime heritage.
