Event details

Head out for a trip on the Waitematā Harbour in the newly restored heritage vessel, 'Nautilus'. This vintage launch takes up to eight passengers, offering an intimate and fascinating cruise.

Learn about the history of this little launch, including its wartime career in the Mediterranean in 1915, and the interesting people who have owned and operated her throughout her 105-year history.

Also, the team of dedicated shipwrights and volunteers who led this careful restoration and brought this special piece of maritime heritage back to life.

On the hour-long trip you'll also be exploring the waterfront from an intimate vantage point. The knowledgeable crew will guide you through some of the key landmarks, stories and people of Auckland's historic and present waterfront and maritime history.
