Event details

The Mt Albert Historical Society walking tour looks at pre-WWI homes and buildings that epitomise the heritage from prominent families who emigrated from Britain.

Stately, stylish Victorian houses like 'Ferndale', 'Belmont' and 'Lyndhurst' (also known as the Clay House) were once the retreats of wealthy business leaders such as Jonathon Tonson Garlick, William Winstone, Thomas Benjamin Clay (Mayor of Mt Albert 1917-21), John Phillipps and Frank Phillipps.

Also, on the route are the Mt Albert Presbyterian Church and the Mt Albert Methodist Church.
