Join Samoan Pasifika street historians the Pua Brothers for a stroll along Ponsonby Road and learn about the area Pasifika style.

This lively guided walk will honour the Pacific urban history of Ponsonby with Pacific Music and Siva dancing.

Hear about Pacific urban migration, working-class ethnic neighbourhoods, dawn raids on overstayers, the Springbok Tour protest, Bastion Point, Polynesian Panthers, feminists, gay lesbian fa'afafine communities of hope, Pacific urban church history, schools of education, sports of the working class, to street theatre, and 'Sione's Wedding' (the movie).

This is a great event on the last day of the Heritage Festival.
