Event details

'Pressing On' explores the conundrum of how the tradition of letterpress printing has survived in a digital age.

The first printing press arrived in New Zealand in the 1830s, and letterpress is still pressing paper on handset type

Once essential to our culture and communication, the 500-year-old process is now being adopted by a new generation, passed on by the aging caretakers.

Film screening on Saturday 13 October, 2-4pm, in the Nathan Homestead theatre.
