Event details

The Railway Enthusiasts are opening their clubrooms and museum, housed in the original Onehunga Railway Station.

Come and view their museum of railway memorabilia, including photographs, train number plates, luggage trolleys, view the slide show of historic train trips in the Onehunga area and learn how to operate a tablet machine (nothing to do with a computer). This is a fascinating collection, especially for those people who love the romance of early train travel. This station was significant in the history of Auckland, as the port of Onehunga was the main gateway to the south, and most people reached the Onehunga port by train.
