Engineering New Zealand (previously IPENZ) is the professional body for engineers in NZ. This group has an active Heritage Auckland Chapter. These like-minded engineers are intent on researching, recording and publicising local engineering heritage.

The chapter has published "Evolving Auckland - The City's Engineering Heritage”. They have taken guided tours around the CBD and waterfront areas of Auckland for many years.
