Event details

Join us for one of three events on the same day at Ōnehunga Community House.

Listen to Phil Sai Louie’s lecture on “Yellow Peril” - the history of Chinese in New Zealand from the gold rush to the present day, and what it’s like growing up in a Chinese family in New Zealand.

Military collector Alan Hall will offer an insight into the journey of William Friar, and will present memorabilia from the Fencibles, the founding regiment of Ōnehunga.

A Victorian afternoon tea and Scottish Dancers will follow the lecture.
