Event details

Symonds Street Cemetery is the first major cemetery in Auckland.

The location is an important transportation hub for trails at first, and then later for roads to the west and south.

Modelled on a 19th century English cemetery, it is also the final resting place for Māori in early days.

This walk is popular with all ages and gives a better appreciation of early Auckland.
