Event details

Join the Papatoetoe Historical Society and the community ranger team on an interactive and educational guided heritage walk through Kohuora Park.

Hear about the past and present history of Kohuora including its geology, Māori and early European settlements, ecology, and natural environment.

The site is rich in stories that reflect the past use of the reserve. Follow the boardwalk through the wetland area, look for and identify native and introduced birds, eels, and plants. You'll even learn how some of these plants are used today.
