Event details

Based on the detailed journals of Reverend Lush who lived in Auckland in the 1800's, this self-guided walk through the gardens of the Howick Historical Village, explores the flora and fauna still in existence in the area today.

Visitors can wander through the picturesque grounds at their leisure, following a map that highlights significant sights and discovering all sorts of curiosities, historical plants, and interesting stories along the way.

They will gain a glimpse into the past and in turn uncover the secrets of the early years of the Fencible settlement of Howick.
