Event details

David Hill takes you on a guided walk focusing on the city's premier industrial heritage site, the waste destructor, and municipal works depot in Freeman's Bay, now known as Victoria Park Market.

We explore the precinct, listen to stories about the local community, and without exposure to dirt and odour, find out why the great incinerator 'Perfectus' came to be established and how it operated. Also, we check the former stables for 92 horses.
