Event details

Many of the people who lived in the Warkworth area and helped to create the community we live in today, are remembered in local cemeteries. A tour of the Anglican cemetery offers the opportunity to understand and acknowledge contributions of local people now passed, to the social history of the area as well as recognising physical contributions. Among the headstones are those of John Anderson Brown recognised as the founding father of Warkworth, and Captain Martin Krippner founder of Puhoi, as well as many other locally well-known names.

The tour will involve sharing the stories of many past residents ensuring that these people and their contributions are not forgotten.
