Event details

This is a unique story of an early New Zealand female filmmaker.

In the 1960s, Auckland local Diana Wong and her friends made two feature films. In this short film, drawn from a fuller oral history recording, we hear Diana talk about her creative adventures and friendships during this time. This interview was conducted as an oral history project. The full interviews are available at Auckland Libraries Heritage Collections.

About the filmmaker: Kyan Krumdieck is a writer/director working in both documentary and scripted films. His short film Repugnant won the People’s Choice award at Show Me Shorts 2018, and most recently he has released his show Sextortion starring Tom Sainsbury on TVNZ OnDemand.

Presented by: Auckland Libraries and made with the support of the Waitematā Local Board Creative Communities Grant
