Take a self-guided walk and learn more about the dramatic history of the stretch of waterfront marked by Ports of Auckland's magnificent red fence.

Highlights include Te Kawau's Rock, which sits near the former tip of Rerengaoraiti (Britomart Point), the Rainbow Warrior memorial near Marsden Wharf and the final stop at the port's observation deck overlooking Fergusson Container Terminal.

This walk is self-guided and can be taken at any time convenient to you.

Pick up a brochure at the New Zealand Maritime Museum between 9am and 5pm, and make your way along the fence towards the Ports of Auckland Building.

The walk takes approximately one hour.
