Details

In 1879, the view of Auckland and surrounds from James Williamson's newly-built tower atop the Pah Homestead would have been a far cry from the sprawling cityscape and magnificent mature trees seen from the turret today.

Visitors are invited to climb the narrow winding staircase up to the usually out-of-bounds turret, where a breath-taking 360° view awaits them.

A brief discussion will follow, about how the vista has changed from the early days of Pah Homestead, and the property's relationship with the striking landscape of One Tree Hill to the northeast.
