Event details

Join us for a seminar on the magical batsman Bert Sutcliffe who put New Zealand cricket on the map. Bert became a giant of the post-war cricketing world with a legacy of records attached to his name.

Writer Rod Nye was penning a biography of this hugely influential player – but died in 2004 before completing his life's mission. Esteemed author and journalist Richard Boock stepped in to weave together Nye's treasure trove of previously unheard-of research to complete the 2010 book on Bert, From the heroic to the heart-wrenching, Richard Boock will deliver a fascinating insight into the cricketing great.
